Set up a vpn on an ios device
Before setting up a VPN you will need to know your server, remote ID, login details/certificate and the type of VPN you want to set up (IKEv2, IPSec or L2TP)
- Go to ‘Settings’
- Click ‘General
- Scroll down and select ‘VPN’ then ‘Add VPN Configuration
- Choose ‘Type’ and pick from ‘IKEv2’,IPSec’ or ‘L2TP’
- Enter your VPN settings information including a description, server and remote ID
- Enter your authentication login details (username/certificate and password)
- If you use a proxy, enable by clicking ‘Manual’ or ‘Auto’ whichever one you use
- Click ‘Done’
- Under the VPN configurations, slide the status bar on
- When you have finished using the VPN, slide the status bar off
Set up a vpn on an android device
This guide covers Samsung, Google, Huawei, Xiaomi, Sony etc. Before setting up a VPN you will need to know your login details and the type of VPN you want to set up
- Go to ‘Settings’
- Click ‘Wireless and Networks’ then select ‘VPN’
- On some Android devices there will be two options, you want to select ‘Basic VPN’ then ‘Add VPN’
- Name the connection and choose the type of connection (IKEv2, IPSec, L2TP)
- Enter the VPN’s server address. Click ‘Save’ and your VPN should be up and running
